There are good local dive sites on Koh Phangan. Many of them, like Mae Haad or Koh Kong, offer beautiful underwater landscapes with variety of corals and reef fish.

Samran pinnacle

Not so popular dive site in the Gulf, Samran Pinnacle is still a host to lots of fish and other aquatic life. Since this pinnacle is completely submerged, sometimes fishing boats lose their nets here.
