Our bungalows and restaurant are officially opened and ready to cater for your every need. Fully air-conditioned with grade A hotel quality mattresses and Hot water. The restaurant has a full English breakfast menu and Thai and International cuisine served throughout the day. Our swimming pool and bar are a perfect place to chill after a Day out diving or sunning yourself on the beach. What a week we have had diving sail rock, Koh Phangans hidden gem, There have been 5 sightings in the last 8 days. Amazing visibility and massive shoals of barracuda and bat fish have topped off an incredible time.

Diving koh phangan has never been so good, After a few reports of sea horses and octopus sightings underneath chalokam pier we decided to go on a night dive to check it out for ourselves, what an amazing dive…we managed to spot 5 octopus, 2 seahorses,2 unidentified nudibranchs which we are trying very hard to find in every fish journal that is available for this area, a pure white scorpion fish and a free swimming frog fish, now thats not bad for a single night dive just off the beach, photos will follow soon as will a video because we were lucky enough to have our professional award winning photographer Alexey Zaytsev with us and Evgeny kovban on video yo record the whole thing…Night dive anyone..?

Padi member forum and sea horse invasion

Koh Phangan has been lucky enough to host another Padi member forum at the mason arms, Tim Hunt our regional manger presented the forum and over 60 Padi members were in attendance.
Alexey zaytev has won an underwater photography completion in Russia with a fantastic shot of a whaleshark at sail rock. Also after s few local fun dives we have come across a host of new nudibranchs never seen before in this region, Macro diving locally is becoming a very popular past time with our resident photographers. The SpineySeahorses have been spotted at 3 of our local dive sites and they are becoming a regular attraction with our Photographer Alexey.

The first Padi risk management seminar on Koh Phangan

Following the success last year of the First Padi member forum koh Phangan has also its first risk management seminar hosted by Richard Evans, The island rallied together and in total there were over 60 people from all of the dive centers on Phangan, On the 27th we are also having the 2nd Padi members forum. All of the seminars have been held at the Masons arms in thongsala. Koh Phangan is now being recognized as a serious Dive destination.

Another Great Thailand IDC on koh phangan is underway.

Instructor examinations on Koh phangan

Another successful IDC and IE held on Koh phangan, congratulations to Xavier and Kez on passing the instructor exams, yet again koh phangan has produced 2 excellent instructors, we wish you guys a long and healthy future in the dive business and good fortune in your new jobs with our friends at reefers diving. Thanks to Tim the Padi examiner for his time and efforts in making the IE possible on Phangan and thanks to Vic from reefers, Dave and Alex Arnold and of course Rachel for keeping everyone happy and fed. The next IDC starts on the 29th so we are getting ready for
another 2 weeks of Instructor development. We are already taking bookings for October and November.

Sail rock divers would like to congratulate Lee and Lola on completing their IDC and IE with us here at sail rock, The guys are now working hard as instructors and are building a perfect career in the dive industry and with us.
